Rally - 31 August 2025
The Loud Jew Collective was grateful to stand on the streets alongside kin, friends and comrades on Sunday, making clear our collective solidarity with Gaza, Palestine, migrants, and First Nations people, and our opposition to the fascists who took to the streets.
We are particularly disgusted by the attack on Camp Sovereignty. We here all live on Aboriginal land and we are indebted to Aboriginal Country and community for how they guide us in how to resist and how to lead a relational life. We stand in deep solidarity with First Nations people.
And we are also, of course, in deep solidarity with all migrants and refugees, who were - and remain - both an expressed target of this fascist hatred and violence and key leaders in this fight.
We are not surprised - but we are angered - that Jewish organisations across this country have failed to take a clear stance against these fascists. We know that these organisations, due to their zionism, will never truly oppose white supremacy. They are too invested in it. And so across these days they again demonstrate that they bring harm rather than anything positive.
So too all levels of governments have shown us, once again, not that they have failed but that they are undertaking their ultimate purpose: to further settler-colonialism and its embedded violence here and across the world.
And so we know: there is no support or liberation to be found in cops (ACAB), governments, or racist community organisations.
But we know that we build movements of justice, solidarity and love together, by being clear about our political projects, by drawing the line in the sand, and by standing shoulder to shoulder with all other oppressed and marginalised people, beginning with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Palestinians, all Indigenous peoples.
We will keep fighting, together, at every opportunity. There is a place for everyone in this fight. There is a lot of work ahead. See you all out there.
