Rally - 31 August 2025
The Loud Jew Collective was grateful to stand on the streets alongside kin, friends and comrades on Sunday, making clear our collective solidarity with Gaza, Palestine, migrants, and First Nations people, and our opposition to the fascists who took to the streets.
The only way to fight racism is by working together.
Over recent days, we have seen another frenzy being whipped up against antisemitism, as a vile attack on a synagogue is used to fabricate connections and stories about antisemitism in other places. Politicians, the media, Jewish community spokespeople, people on the street, are all getting into a panic. This panic - like other social panics - is leading to calls for further repression, securitisation, control, and, in the end, further racism.
Dont firebomb synagogues!
The firebombing of the Adass Israel synagogue is clearly an antisemitic and racist attack, arising out of a society that regularly perpetrates racial violence. We send solidarity to everyone facing racism, in all its many forms. It remains unacceptable, and remains our obligation to fight it wherever and whenever it occurs.

Elon Levy wants money for the JNF?
There are no words adequate to capture our disgust and anger at Eylon Levy’s current tour of so-called australia, where he is spruiking for the JNF.
The JNF - or Jewish National Fund - is a zionist organisation built around an ethos of greenwashing. It uses environmental language in order to facilitate ethnic cleansing and land theft. It plants trees in an attempt to erase any trace of the villages from which Palestinians were expelled during the Nakba. It furthers a narrative of ‘make the deserts bloom’, a terra nullius myth of Palestine. It steals land and property. And in Australia, as well as in other countries around the world, it has charity and tax deductible status. This is outrageous: it is another way in which the australian government aids the israeli war effort.
This organisation routinely brings violent speakers to this country in order to help them raise money. This year they have chosen to bring Eylon Levy, who was a spokesman for the Israeli government after it began its genocide on Palestinians in Gaza. He is here to help spread lies, to pretend that this isn’t a genocide, and to help collect money to ensure that it continues. It is shameful.
Anyone who attends these benefits must be condemned. Anyone who platforms this man or this organisation must be condemned.
In early August, Canada revoked the JNF’s charitable status. The Australian government must follow suit. We encourage people to email and/or call Hon Dr Andrew Leigh MP, who is the relevant minister, and implore him to immediately cancel the JNF’s charitable status in Australia; and to raise a concern about the JNF with the ACNC at https://www.acnc.gov.au/raise-concern.
We hope that no media outlets in Australia will platform Eylon Levy while he is here - or after he returns - and we stand ready to condemn and act against anyone who does. The ICJ has made clear that all countries have responsibilities not to participate in the furthering of this genocide: platforming someone who has been a key spokesperson for the genocide would clearly constitute incitement.
We continue to be appalled by a Jewish zionist community that promotes this genocide. We utterly refute them as members of our community: our Jewishness gives no space for the material, political and emotional support of genocide. May their project be overturned, speedily, in our days.
We ask you to contact your MPs and Senators, make clear how appalled you are that the government continues to support israel’s genocide. As israel’s violence continues to escalate in Gaza, the West Bank, and across Palestine; and as the government here continues to deny visas to those seeking to escape; we must keep up the pressure on governments, businesses, cultural institutions, universities, and so on, so that this is reversed and instead they support Palestine and Palestinians.
May we all continue to work together, collectively, towards a free Palestine, from the river to the sea.
Nakba Day 2024
On this Nakba Day, Jewish collectives across the colony of so-called Australia state - unequivocally - our support for Palestinian freedom, liberation, and self-determination and mourn the Palestinian death, exile and trauma of the past 76 years.
On Holocaust remembrance during a genocide
To remember the genocide our ancestors, our people, faced at the hands of the Nazis and their collaborators at this time is to remember that it was not only Jews who were murdered. And it is to remember that genocides continue to be enacted. And it is to remember - to know - that currently Jews are enacting a genocide.
Invitation to Josh Burns MP
We write to you as members of the Jewish community, some of whom live in your electorate. We wish to invite you to join us for a public Pesach seder to call attention to the desperate situation in Gaza and the atrocities the Israeli military is perpetrating.
Statement in support of teachers and school staff speaking for Palestine
The Loud Jew Collective stands strongly behind Jason Wong and all teachers who are speaking about the atrocities that Israel is committing in Palestine.
Statement on Federal government cutting funding to UNRWA
We at the Loud Jew Collective are outraged by the Australian government’s decision to suspend funding to the United Nations' refugee agency for Palestinians, UNRWA, in the wake of the ICJ’s finding that there is a plausible case that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
We need to talk about Jewish australians joining the israeli army to fight in Gaza
Earlier this week many of us saw the short video of a soldier from australia fighting in the israeli army in Gaza.
It Should Never Have Taken This Long: on the ceasefire resolution
Yes it is good to see the ALP shift its approach with the release of a statement (with New Zealand and Canada) and a changing vote at the UN General Assembly to call for a ceasefire but this is the bare minimum, and it is far too late.
Altered Video - Sydney Protest Statement
The Loud Jew Collective is appalled by the revelation that a video of a recent Palestine Solidarity protest in Sydney was maliciously altered to show protestors chanting antisemitic remarks.
Ceasefire Now! End the Occupation!
We are Jewish groups living on unceded Aboriginal lands. Our message is unified and unequivocal: we call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and unconditional release of humanitarian aid.
For weeks we’ve watched with horror and helplessness as news from Gaza becomes more dire by the minute. Many of us have Israeli and/or Palestinian family and friends, and we are deeply worried at Israel’s escalation of violence.
Statement to support UMSU
Loud Jew Collective congratulates UMSU Students’ Council for passing a motion called ‘UMSU stands with Palestine - BDS & Solidarity Policy’ on August 15.
This motion is a landmark moment in student activism in Australia, and comes as part of a growing moment internationally, where more and more people - including Jews - are recognising that Israel is a racist, settler-colonial, apartheid state, and that Zionism is unredeemable.
Quit your Zionist youth movement! Solidarity with Palestine!
“Australian Zionist organisations and youth movements don’t speak for us - their response to the UMSU motion has ranged from nonsensical to chauvinistic and solipsistic. Palestinians’ steadfast courage in the face of colonial dispossession sets the example for us to resist Zionism in our own families and communities.”
